An unusual and attractive Swiss 18K gold and polychrome enamel open faced cylinder watch, circa 1825.
3/4 plate gilt finished jewelled cylinder movement, plain three-armed brass balance. Silvered engine-turned dial, Roman numerals on the blank chapter ring, blued steel Breguet-style hands and outer minute divisions. Polychrome champlevé enamel Hispano-Moresque style decorated scalloped case, pendant and bow. Movement signed.
