A Swiss gold and enamel quarter repeating open faced cylinder pocket watch, circa 1825. The watch features a gilded movement with a cylinder escapement and polished steel hammers that repeat on coiled gongs. It has a silvered dial with an engine turned centre, a satin finished chapter ring, and Roman numerals. The gold case has a back enamelled with the map of Spain overlaid with translucent red enamel, scrolling foliage decoration to bezels, and bow champlevé enamel. Additionally, it has a gold cuvette signed and numbered by Vacheron & Constantin, Genève.

The movement is operational but does not repeat; the plunger to the stem does not function. The dial is heavily tarnished. The edge of the translucent red enamel case has chips and surface scratches. Signs of restoration are present, including later counter enamelling. The enamel on the bezels and bow also has chips.
