Fine gold and enamel verge pocket watch

A very fine quarter repeating diamond and pearl set gold enamel verge pocket watch made for John Godwin, no 161 Strand, London, circa 1795. 18k gold case, on the reverse side magnificent translucent cobalt blue enamelling on engine turned base, applied central white gold diamond set rosette, pearl set egging and bezel, pusher for repetition via pendant with enamel dial, Arabic numerals, blued Breguet hands. Full plate movement, keywind, fire gilt, two hammers, one bell, signed, chain/fusee,  solid round movement pillars, three arm brass balance, very finely engraved and pierced balance bridge forming the name Chevalier
