A very fine and rare, 18K gold, enamel and hardstone rococo style egg-form pendant watch, circa 1800. Keywound verge movement, chain fusée. Gilt full-plate movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, pierced and engraved continental type balance cock, gilt regulation dial.
Egg-form case, pierced rococo flower and scroll goldwork over a green hardstone base, hinged lid with the inscription “Dieu Toujours Avec Vous” in white enamel, ring suspension loop.
White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. Dial and movement signed.
