Gold, enamel, and diamond set full hunter cylinder by E. Bronner & Cie.
–
A fine Swiss gold, enamel, and diamond set oval hunting cased keywound cylinder pendant watch with a gilt chain, circa 1860. This watch features a gilt finished cylinder movement and a white enamel dial adorned with Roman numerals, an outer minute track, and Breguet hands. Housed in an oval gold case, the front showcases a finely painted polychrome enamel portrait of a young lady wearing a diamond set tiara and necklace, framed by a blue and black champlevé enamel border. The back is similarly decorated, featuring a diamond set rosette in the centre of black enamel. The bezels are intricately engraved with diamond shaped motifs and have a scrolled surmount, complemented by a matching gilt chain. Inside there is a gold cuvette. The case is numbered, and both the case and cuvette are signed and numbered.

The movement is not functioning and needs servicing. The enamel dial is intact, and the enamel portrait is in good condition, showing only minor wear. The case is overall in excellent condition, with just light surface wear. The chain is gilt.
