Silver watch with center seconds

A very fine Swiss silver, a dead center second pocket watch with duplex escapement and jumping quarter second diablotine, circa 1860. A polished case, spring loaded back. Gilt rimmed glazed cuvette hinged to the movement ring. White enamel dial, radial narrow Roman numerals, outer minute and seconds divisions with fifteen minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary dial for the quarter second diablotine and blued steel quatrefoil hands. A gilt brass movement, fully engraved Chinese caliber, escapement jewelled, free standing barrel, single wheel duplex escapement, three arm steel balance with flat rim and blued steel wings, flat steel balance spring, index regulator.
