A fine Swiss gold full hunter minute repeating pocket watch with chronograph, made by G.A. Huguenin & Fils in Les Ponts-de-Martel, late 19th century. It has a high quality mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, signed G.A. Huguenin & Fils. The white enamel dial features bold black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute and seconds track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and a central gold foliage wreath decoration signed G.A. Huguenin & Fils, Ponts Martel. It has blued steel hour and minute hands and a long sweeping chronograph hand. It is housed in a gold full hunter case with engraved relief accented by black enamel champlevé work. The spring hinged front cover features an intricate central vignette depicting a rearing horse amidst detailed foliage. The reverse back cover is decorated with an elaborate floral and scrollwork border surrounding a central vacant shield cartouche.
