A fine and rare Swiss 18K gold, enamel and Oriental pearl-set miniature verge pendant watch, fruit/ flower basket, circa 1810.
Matte gilt full plate miniature verge movement, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental balance cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial. White, enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track, winding aperture at 2 o’clock and original blued steel Breguet hands. Gold/ enamel case in basket form, enamel painting, both sides with a similar motif, flowers and fruits, and both sides set with half Oriental pearls.

This enamel-form watch is extremely rare. A matching watch, only with different motifs, was sold for 25,000 Swiss Francs in Geneva in 2010, although also in restored condition.
