A Swiss decorative 18K gold and enamel open faced verge pocket watch studded with half pearls, circa 1790.
The bezel is set with half-pearls on both sides, the back shows a medallion with a very fine miniature enamel painting of two young ladies at the altar of love, the background with an engine-turned pattern and translucent cobalt blue enamelling. White enamel dial with Arabic hours, outer minute divisions and fifteen-minute numerals, spade hands. Full plate movement, keywind, chain and fusee, three-arm brass balance.
