A very fine and rare Swiss oval, gold, enamel and pearl set pendant watch with calendar. Accompanied by the original leather covered fitted case, made for the Chinese market, circa 1800. Gilt full plate movement, fixed spring barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring.
Oval case with stepped bezel, extended flat band decorated on both sides with filigree clouds and split pearls within a translucent blue enamel border decorated with multicoloured gold paillons.
White enamel dial, oval, with Arabic chapter ring and outer minute track, Arabic quarter hour numerals, calendar dial above and regulation sector below. Blued steel Breguet hands. Movement signed.
