A fine and rare Swiss 18-carat gold open-faced minute repeating keyless lever demi-chronomètre pocket watch, circa 1868. gilt movement, jeweled, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Beautifully engraved case back
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 10 o’clock, and blued steel fleur-de-lys hands. Polished and engine turned case, the back with engraved foliate monogram AH. Dial, case and movement signed.
