A Swiss gold watch with convertible case, circa 1860, gilt 3/4 plate lateral lever movement, ruby endstone, gilt dust cover.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, 18k yellow gold inner case which can rotate to become either open faced or hunter, the back finely engraved with an eagle displaying bordered by scrolls, the outer case engraved with two prospectors bordered by scrolls, movement signed, case hallmarked.
