A very fine Swiss, 18 Carat gold, painted on enamel and pearl-set pocket watch, circa 1800. The bezel is decorated with white and blue champleve enamel in a geometric pattern, polished band, the back decorated with a finely painted polychrome enamel scene of a young couple in a formal garden, he seated holding a guitar, split-pearl-set border, the surround decorated with engraved gold drapes, red and blue translucent enamel, flowers and a pair of doves above.

White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, outer minute track, winding arbour at 2. Gold pierced urn hands. A frosted gilt, full plate movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, continental type balance cock, polished steel endplate, silvered regulation dial.
