A Swiss fine gold quarter repeating watch with automatons, circa 1800, gilt full plate verge escapement, balance bridge, silver regulation dial, gilt cuvette.
White enamel dial in an outer chapter ring, Breguet numerals, gold hands, the centre showing a theatre with two putti on the bottom striking a bell, an aperture on the top revealing a comedia dell arte figure striking a bell while pressing the repeating mechanism on the bow, guilloché outer case back, numbered and stamped inside with maker’s mark CHL, reeded band with a lock device for repeating and automaton mechanism.
