Gold and enamel musical quarter repeater

A very fine Swiss 18K gold and enamel open faced quarter repeating musical cylinder pocket watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1830.
Gilt frosted musical bridge movement, blued screws, two going barrels, key-winding, cylinder escapement, mirror-polished, a bevelled lever for the musical movement, three-arm ring balance.
White enamel dial with radial Roman hours, outer minute divisions and Arabic quarter hours, centre seconds, lozenge hands. Finely florally hand-engraved case, the border set with half pearls, translucent and opaque polychrome enamelled band, on the reverse an exquisite later polychrome enamel plaque with the depiction of a young beauty standing at a fountain accompanied by two little winged putti, enamelled and pearl-set pendant.
