A very fine and rare, oval Swiss lady’s pendant watch with original box, circa 1800.
This 18-carat gold oval medallion case has an applied cartouche with an enamelled crest on the front lid. The enamel dial has an eccentric chapter ring with Arabic numerals and a polychrome enamel painting of a shepherdess with paste-set hands. The full plate movement is gilt, signed, and has a chain/fusee with solid movement pillars. The verge escapement has a three-arm brass balance and a florally engraved balance bridge.
