A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating key winding pocket watch made
by Noël Vacheron in Geneva, circa 1820-1830. The engine turned case has a smooth pendant and bow. The silver engine turned dial features Roman hour numerals on a brushed chapter ring, an outer minute track, gold engine turned subsidiary seconds at
6 o’clock and blued moon hands. The gilded brass movement is fitted with a going barrel, cylinder escapement, monometallic balance, blued steel flat hairspring, an index regulator with a temperature compensating bimetallic curb and parachute, the quarter repeating on two steel gongs is activated by a pull-and-twist piston in the pendant.
