Gilt brass, enamel and pearl set pocket watch

A large Swiss, gilt brass and painted on enamel pocket watch set with pearls, circa 1860. Made for the Chinese market. The back is painted with a multicoloured floral decoration on a blue enamel background, and the bezel and bow are set with pearls. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute division and blued steel clover hands. The gilt Chinese calibre movement is fully engraved, and has a standing barrel, a Swiss lateral lever escapement, a counterpoised steel three arm balance, a flat hairspring, and an index regulator.
