Silver cylinder pocket watch
–
A fine Swiss, silver, keywind two-train pocket watch with passing strike hours and trip-repeat, circa 1800. The case stamped EB and numbered a gold hinge, strike/silent switch to the band, trip-repeat button in the pendant, and hinged silver cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. It has blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, 16 jewels, two trains with spring barrels surmounted by engraved caps, cylinder escapement, three-arm plain brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, striking on two gongs mounted inside the band, case numbered.
