A very interesting and especially large Swiss silver open faced astronomical verge pocket watch, circa 1800. Gilt full plate movement, verge escapement. White enamel dial, polychrome enamel painting, off center time display with Arabic numerals, aperture with a view to the balance wheel, a central hand showing the month, the length of the month and the zodiac sign, on the left side display of the date, the day and the ruler of the day, rose gold hands. Plain case, case maker’s mark ICD.
Dial and movement signed, case numbered.
