A splendid French 18 carat rose gold open faced skeletonized quarter repeating pocket watch with figured automaton Jacquemarts, circa 1810. Verge escapement, gilt and engraved plate with floral decoration, striking mechanism with polished steel parts, repeating the hours and quarter hours. The dial with four coloured gold figured automaton, two figures striking the bell with axes, white enamel ring to the centre with Arabic numerals and blued Breguet steel hand. Case with wave like engine turning on the back, reeded mid section. Cuvette signed and numbered.
