A Swiss fine, small gold enamel pocket watch, circa 1860.
18 carat rose gold, tiered, “à goutte” case with translucid cobalt blue enamelled case back, fleur-de-lys gold decoration, gold dome and slide for the minute repeating mechanism. White enamel dial with radial Roman hours, Arabic minutes, auxiliary seconds and filigree blued steel hands. Rhodium-plated bridge movement with “fausses côtes” decoration, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, screwed gold chatons, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance and counterpoised lever.
