A decorative and remarkable Austrian gold enamel pear form pendant watch with original gold covered morocco case, circa1790.
A 14 carat gold and opaque enamel, champlevé enamel motifs case: white flowers and gold foliage against a green ground, case band with a blue and black border.
Later Viennese 14 carat gold Austro-Hungarian monarchy assay mark 1872-1922. Enamel dial, full plate movement, keywind, chain/fusee, verge escapement.
The quality of the engraving and enamelling on the case is outstanding.
The peduncle and the receptacle are finely executed This is a one of a kind piece of jewellery.
