A Swiss elegant and very fine gold enamel verge pocket watch with protecting case, circa 1800.
Gold enamel case, bezel and pendant with polychrome champlevé enamelled decoration, the back with a painted pastoral enamel scene of of a maiden with two children gleaning the crops and with glazed gilt brass outer case. Signed and pierced enamel dial with Arabic numerals and filigree hands. Fine full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, signed, engraved, with chain/fusee, cylindrical pillars, three-arm brass balance and pierced balance bridge.
