A unique, very interesting hunting-cased chronometer watch with early crown winding by LaForge Genève, made for a Spanish noble family, circa 1860. An 18K gold, case and movement matching number, case beautifully engraved, dome with a relief coat of arms decoration, back with a renaissance scene, à-goutte-case, dome signed and numbered, inscribed Remontoir Chronometre 20 Rubis, glazed movement, very interesting chronometer movement with pivoted detent escapement and special balance wheel, solid gold gear train, wolf’s toothing, very fine Genèva quality, typical Champlevé dial with Spanish decoration, blued steel hands, in working order and in very good condition.
