A very early gold top quality full hunter pocket watch with ‘Seconde Morte’, possibly made by Louis Audemars, in Brassus, Switzerland, circa 1850. The very fine quality full hunter ‘à-goutte’ (water drop shape) and numbered case is crafted from 18 Carat gold and is engine turned on the back with a monogram in the middle. The very well preserved white enamel dial has an outer ring with black Arabic numerals for the minutes (outside) and Roman numerals for the hours (inside) and gold hands. The glazed very early crown winding movement with tandem winding according to Mairet has a complete motion train in pink gold and stoppable jumping seconds.
