A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond set open faced keyless pocket watch, circa 1860. Retailed by Musy Padre e Figli in Torino, Italy. The gilt full plate movement with an anker escapement, three arm balance, cut and compensated balance bridge and wolf tooth winding system.White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and black steel spade hands. The brushed and polished, hinged case with the polychrome enamel and diamond set crest of the Royal House of Savoy, King Umberto I of Italy, on the front. Case signed and numbered.
