A rare and early French skeletonized verge pocket watch with quarter repeating, circa 1775.
18 Carat gold, bicoloured case, with a 5-part lateral hinge, both sides glazed, rare movement, full skeletonized, engraved and gilt, some polished steel parts, bridge signed Mercier Paris, repeating hours and quarters a toc, enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, winding trough the dial, original hands. Ruby endstone, 3 arm steel balance.
