Enamelled gold pocket watch

A French 18 carat gold hunting cased pocket watch made by Jean-Antoine Lépine in Paris, circa 1835. The gilt key wind Lépine caliber movement with a suspended going barrel, plain cock with polished steel regulator, gilt plain three arm balance with blue steel spiral hairspring and polished steel cylinder, and a steel escape wheel. Engine turned silver dial with an offset chapter of Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions and blue steel moon hands. The case with fully restored polychrome floral decoration on both covers. Wound and set through the signed and numbered gold cuvette.
