An exquisite and very rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced jumping centre seconds cylinder pocket watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1800. Very rare Lépine calibre with jumping centre seconds and cylinder escapement, formerly with stop-seconds device. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and fine steel hands. Case engine-turned on the back overlaid with translucent blue enamel, both sides set with oriental half-pearls. Cuvette signed and numbered, dial signed, case and movement with matching numbers. Comes with the original box.
