A fine, small American hunting cased, keyless, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with unusual case and dial, circa 1880. Entirely decorated pattern, engine-turned case band and borders, front centre by a blank shield, hinged gold cuvette with inscription.

White enamel dial with painted radial Roman numerals on a light blue reserve, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds dial, concentric light blue decoration. Black Breguet hands. A frosted gilt movement, 16 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring. Case signed.
