A heavy, early, rare American 18K gold hunter watch in Hillside quality, circa 1880. Engine turned 18K gold hunting case, all three lids made of gold, case number H8274 AWCo. Signed enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track, blued steel spade hands, and subsidiary dial for the seconds with blued steel seconds hand. Nickel plated lever movement with screwed chatons, Hillside quality.
