A fine and large Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased quarter repeating chronograph keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1885. Frosted gilt movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band, visible chronograph work. Gold hinged cuvette engraved with technical details over glazed cover, to view the movement. White enamel dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track, outermost chronograph divisions, subsidiary seconds dial and rose gold Louis XV hands. Solid case, polished.  Case numbered.
