A German silver open faced two train quarter repeating coach watch with alarm, circa 1790. Gilt brass full plate four train verge movement, chain fusée, plain three armed brass balance, repeating and alarm on four hammers onto a bell, pull quarter repeat. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer railway and Arabic minute divisions, pierced gilt hands and central alarm hand. Case with ribbed bezel and rim, back centred by an engraved tropy of musical instruments.
