A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel, diamond and pearl set pocket watch, circa 1800. With matching detachable 21 cm long (total) gold, enamel and pearl chatelaine with key and seal en suite. The back is decorated with translucent Imperial blue enamel over elaborate engine turning with rose cut diamond set. An applied rosette and a large split pearl in the centre, pearl set bezel. The châtelaine is made of three enamel panels decorated with pearls and diamonds set en suite with a matching key and seal. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals and gold hands. A hinged, frosted gilt full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three arm brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock, silver regulation disc. Movement signed and numbered.
