An historically important gold and enamel, former aristocratic property, ‘Couteau Ultra Thin’ pocket watch: made by Cartier in Paris, France, circa 1920. The extremely thin numbered enamelled case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and features an aristocratic monogram with a crown on the back. The silvered engine turned dial features an outer minutes track, Arabic hour numerals and Breguet steel hands. The movement is fitted with a precision lever escapement.
The dial is signed.
