A French 18 carat yellow gold open faced chronometer pocket watch, signed Marque A.I. Moderne, dating from the early 20th century. It features a round, three body solid gold case with a distinctive radiating decoration engraved on the back. The white enamelled dial displays black Arabic numerals for the morning hours, an inner ring of red Arabic numerals for the afternoon hours (13-24), a railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and Breguet shaped hands. The watch includes a matching 18 carat yellow gold inner dust cover (cuvette) protecting the hand wound mechanical lever movement. The case is equipped with a fluted crown and a circular bow.
