–
A fine French 18 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch made by LIP, circa 1920. It features a mechanical crown wound movement with a traditional lever escapement. The white enamel dial displays black Arabic numerals for the hours, outer red 13 to 24 hour markers, an outer railroad minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and blued steel cathedral hands. The timepiece is housed in a round 18 carat solid yellow gold hunting case with a polished hinged protective front cover, an inner lid stamped with a K18 gold hallmark and partial serial number, a fluted winding crown, and a round suspension bow.
