The Tribaudeau watch factory was a small, traditional company founded in 1876 in Besançon and named after its founder, G. Tribaudeau. It was first located at 4 Rue d’Alsace, and later moved to the Bregille district at 4 Rue des Fontenottes, near the funicular station at the foot of the mountain (show this location).

Tribaudeau sold its watches under the brand name Trib. The company offered its products by mail order, including pocket watches, wristwatches, clocks, alarm clocks, jewellery, and other valuable items. Tribaudeau also acted as a distribution agent for Breitling. The company had about fifty employees before closing in 1960. In the 1980s, a new owner revived the company under the name Trib Créations, giving it a fresh start.
