A fine French 18 carat gold and enamel open faced Louis XV pocket watch, circa 1775. The case back has translucent dark blue enamel over an engine-turned ground decorated with gilt stars and a concentric row of white enamel faux pearls, as well as an engraved bezel with decorative translucent dark blue champlevé enamel foliage. Verge escapement, the movement is signed and numbered.
