A French 18 carat gold Louis XV quarter repeating verge pocket watch with chatelaine, circa 1775. Verge movement, repeating the hours and quarters à toc. White enamel Louis XV dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, blued steel Breguet hour hand, minute hand missing. Case with multi-coloured gold design, small enamel inlays, 5 part ‘Louis X’ hinge. Comes with corresponding three coloured gold chatelaine with original key and signet, original sales box signed Au Vieux Paris. Movement signed.
