A French 18 carat multi coloured gold open faced Louis XV verge pocket watch, circa 1765. Gilt full plate verge movement, a three arm balance, flat balance spring, pierced and engraved cock. A Louis XV case with a large external hinge, the back is decorated with a varicoloured gold basket, flowers, a bird and farmer tools. White enamel dial with radial Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals and gold plated hands, a winding aperture at 3 o’clock. Movement signed.
