Multicolour gold quarter repeater by royal watchmaker Lépine

A precious, pair cased, multi-coloured, French quarter-hour repeating verge watch with stone setting, circa 1775.
Signed and numbered exquisite verge movement, quarter-hour repeater on bell. Exceptionally well-preserved protective case, glazed, covered with ray skin, sound openings, high-quality splendour case three-coloured gold, probably 20K, both sides with stone setting, back with elaborate floral decorations. Screwed enamel dial (small repair at the winding hole) with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, and pink gold hands.
