Important French 18 carat gold verge watch with an enamel portrait of King Louis XVI and chatelaine, circa 1775. A probably unique skeletonized verge movement. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, rose gold hands. Case with an enamel portrait of Louis XVI (1754-1793) on the back, jewels on both sides (some are missing). Accompanied by a splendid 18 carat gold chatelaine with two enamel-painted cartouches.
