A Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced pocket watch made by Vacheron in Geneva, circa 1850. The cylinder movement with a three armed flat balance. Silver engine turned dial with Roman hour numerals on a brushed chapter ring, outer minute divisions and blued steel spade hands. The bezel and case back set with polychrome enamel floral decoration on a black ground, the inner cover engraved Echappement à cylindre Quatre trous en rubis Vacheron à Genève.
