A Swiss oversized, quarter-hour repeating watch with skeleton figure automaton, in absolutely exceptional quality, probably from Geneva, circa 1800.
Polished 18K red gold case, knurled middle part, master’s mark DC, and numbered 2658/3456 and 741. White enamelled chapter ring with Breguet-style numerals and Breguet steel hands. Completely skeletonized spindle mechanism of the greatest rarity, repetition of the hours and quarter hours, double-sided views of the movement, striking mechanism and automaton, gold-plated bridges, richly decorated, red and gold gear train, polished steel parts, an automatic figurine of great rarity, two putti as Jacks and underneath the dog on the goose hunt, also horns of plenty filled with flowers.
