–
A Swiss 20 carat yellow gold quarter repeating repoussé pocket watch made by J. Rival, Geneva, circa 1760. An open faced, key winding Louis XV pocket watch with one horological complication. Quarter repeater by two hammers on a bell, activated by depressing the pendant. The case in repoussé technique showing a concert of three musicians, including a harpsichordist, a viola da gamba player and a transverse flute player; a classical chamber music ensemble of the baroque age.
–
A white enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and yellow gold Louis XV hands. A gilt brass movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement, gilded brass monometallic balance and blued steel flat hairspring, pierced and engraved gilded continental cock with dragon heads and foliage; repeater work on the main plate, under the dial, unusual winding at 12 o’clock. Signature on the dust cover and movement.
