A Swiss 18 carat rose gold full hunting cased pocket watch with ‘extra’ movement, circa 1882. 19”’ Jeweled nickel lever’Extra’ movement. 18 Carat gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Front and back with engraved monogram. Case, dial and cuvette signed. With an associated 14 carat gold chain. With an Extract from the Archives confirming ‘Extra’ movement and sale on July 14th, 1887.

According to family tradition, this watch was owned by Earl Cook who was the grandfather of William Cook. The watch features a personalized monogram on the front case lid and a case back monogram representing 1887.
