An early gold lever watch with calendar and seconds display, made by Charles Frédéric Robert in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1850. The case of this watch is crafted from 18 carat gold and the white enamel dial features Roman hour numerals, a day of the month dial at 3 o’clock, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, a day of the week dial at 9 o’clock and extremely beautiful steel hands. The bar movement is fitted with a lever escapement.
The cuvette is signed.
