A heavy pocket watch with minute repeater made by Meuron & Company in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, circa 1800. The plain open faced case of this watch, which was crafted from 18 carat gold, has a florally engraved and pierced band, a bell and a cuvette with a spring lid. The white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, the original gold hour hand and a replaced minute hand. The movement has a verge escapement repeating the minutes on a bell.
Dial, cuvette and movement are signed.
